Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam's Peak, Ravana Falls and tea hills—how to spend a perfect day or two in Ella.
Nine Arch Bridge
This stone viaduct in the jungle is Ella's most photographed spot. It's best to arrive in time for a passing train—schedules change, so we check the day before.
Several paths lead to the bridge, and some offer quieter angles than the main viewpoint.
Little Adam's Peak
An easy climb through tea plantations that suits almost everyone. At the top you get a panorama of the Ella Gap and surrounding mountains. Mornings are cooler and quieter.
Ravana Falls
The falls sit right beside the road, so they fit easily into any route. They're at their fullest after rain.
Tea and slow evenings
Visit a tea factory to see a leaf's journey from bush to cup, then spend the evening in one of the village cafés—Ella is made for slow travel.
